Window and high level cleaning

Window cleaning and industrial cleaning forms a significant part of the company’s work and specialist operatives are employed for these activities. Much of the glass cleaning work involves difficult access and our window cleaning staff are trained and experienced in using a wide range of equipment.

Our professional and highly skilled window cleaning team provides a specialist service that is second to none.

Clients benefit from the knowledge that a full site risk assessments is always carried out before work commences, that full comprehensive insurance is maintained and that work is carried out by experienced, trained staff.

ACS has three high-level teams - comprising of two dedicated to window cleaning, with the third equipped and trained to carry out high level industrial cleaning. Each member of staff in this division is a professional window cleaner, qualified, experienced and trained in the skills needed to provide a safe high quality service.

In addition to window cleaning - cladding and other external building cleaning forms part of their scope of duties.

There will always be occasions when other forms of access equipment will be required.  Our operators carry IPAF certificates, which qualify them to operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (or ‘cherry pickers’). They are also trained and qualified to erect scaffolding (PASMA) and the company regularly uses its scaffold tower for high level access work.

Vitally important in this area are Risk Assessments. Carried out for all work - these must be reviewed before any activity is carried out and be dynamic by nature.

The company works strictly within the guidelines set out in the Working at Height Regulations 2005. Safety equipment, which complies fully with the legislation, is provided for all operatives. A safety record is held for each piece of equipment, ensuring a monthly check. Operatives are also trained to make a detailed inspection prior to each use.

The ACS window cleaning teams are easily identifiable by their liveried vans and the company uniform which they must wear at all times.
